Enjoying a sled ride in the village of Muella, about 12 km east of Butha Buthe. Sacks of coal are being hauled up from the bus stop on this winter morning. The lack of wheels is a problem for soil conservation. Coal, cow dung, and pariffin (kerosene) are used for heating, wood is very scarce. Cattle also do much of the field plowing.
