Thank you so much for helping me and my school by providing us with an FOL grant. We are working hard on putting together an environmental education program that will work in cooperation with the agriculture curriculum. One of the elements of our program is to build a tree nursery, grow forestry and fruit trees, and then students can either sell them or plant them at home.

So far the trees are coming along all right. We have about 200 or so growing now, and by the end of the school year they should be big enough for sale.

A group of four boys and I worked to cement the poles into place. Then two girls worked on cutting and sewing the shade netting. Five of us worked to lift the net into place and now the entire class is in charge of the project.

It has been a great group building project and a source of weekly curiosity to monitor the progress.
