Dear FOL,

I would like to thank you for the generous contribution your fund made towards the purchase of chess boards at the Thaba-Tseka Technical Institute. The Thaba-Tseka Chess Club is one of the most popular clubs at school, with eight to ten boys attending our weekly Tuesday meeting. It ahs been remarkable how quickly my local students have picked-up the nuances of the game. I was considered a good chess player back in America, but there is a first year student at TTI that consistently beats me (Searching for Bobby Fischer, perhaps?). Student interest in chess has persuaded me to install a chess game on each of the student computers; late into the night I see solitary students challenging TTI's plastic and silicon boxes in the fine art of computer chess. Student interest in chess has persuaded me to establish a second chess club for non-students after the winter break. Thaba-Tseka is quickly filling up with chess players!

It is remarkable to think that so much good has been done for this community because of a three hundred Maloti donation ($50). Thanks again!
