Dear Don Spicer and other FOL members,
My name is Robin Gordon. I am a PCV in Mt. Moorosi in the Quthing District of Lesotho. I am writing to thank you for your support of our projects here. Recently, I was able to purchase a soccer ball and pump for a group of teen-agers who are not able to attend school. The leader of this group is trying to develop ways for these young adults to stay off the streets. Now, they have started a football (soccer) team. The enclosed picture includes several of the girls on the team and Me Magerard (3rd from the left, top), the leader. She is also helping them with income generating projects and soon we may have HIV/AIDS workshops as well.

The second picture shows a friend of mine, a high school student, working on a map in a Standard 5 classroom.
I did not directly request funds for this project, but I used materials given to me by another volunteer who purchased them with FOL funds. I am sure that you have seen several map painting projects, but I can assure you that they are well received. Students love looking at maps and finding various countries, especially Lesotho.
Thank you again for making these projects possible. We are grateful for your support.
Sincerely, Robin Gordon PCV 2000-2002
