Special Requests ...

My name is Mandla Temeki. I was born in Lesotho in 1967. and did most of my Education there.

I am trying to trace one Mary Ellen Wilson who lived in Lesotho as a peace corp. I can’t remember exactly what the year was since I was still very young. Mary Wilson lived with my family for about three Months when she first arrived in the country. I got your information on the Friends OF Lesotho website. I am just curious to find out she is doing and since I was still very young , I would really like to get in touch with her, this must have been around 1975-76. The name of the village she was at is called Masite in Maseru district.

Will appreciate your feedback, Kind regards,
Mandla Temeki

webmaster note: please contact me if you know Mary Ellen and I'll pass word on to Mandla.

Esther Chikurunhe is looking for her cousin, Retabiseng Matseletsele. Retabiseng is between 37-40yrs old. Her mother met Ester's uncle (Samson Chitiyo Mathambo) when he was studying at Lesotho University in the 60's and Retabiseng was then born. Reta and an aunt visited Zimbabwe after the death of her father sometime in 1984/1985 and that was when Esther last saw her. Esther understands that Reta married a man from Europe (not sure if he was English or German). If you have any information about where to find Retabiseng, please let me know so I can pass it on to Esther.

Motsami Mokoto is a friend, student and co-worker of Carl Olson. Motsami worked on an environmental evaluation for the Katse Dam, specifically in entomology in the early 1990s. Carl lost touch with Motsami in the mid 1990s and is now trying to find him again. Motsami's last known address was PO Box 584, Teyateyaneng. If you have any information about where to find Motsami, please let me know so I can pass it on to Carl.

Hapiloe Byaruhanga was a student at Mabathoana High School, Maseru, in the late 1970's. He is now trying to locate his former Peace Corps math teacher, but can't remember his name. Dale Butler has offered the information that Bob Williams is the teacher, based on the school, years and description. If you know how Bob can be contacted, please let me know!

Finally, Dick Lowe is looking for an APCD in the early 1970's named Don Jones. If you know where to find Don, again, please let me know!
