Candidate Biography
Allison Hoops
Secondary School Math Teacher, Qacha’s Neck, Lesotho, 2019-2020.
Research student with Peace Corps and Solarspell project, 2022.
The nominee’s interest and involvement with Lesotho :
I have worked closely with education and health based initiatives between Peace Corps Lesotho and Solarspell implementing 10 libraries across the country, supporting capacity building trainings to 100+ people in both official and unofficial settings, and worked to facilitate partnerships with communities, nonprofits, and ministries in the country.
I have loads of footage I think could be useful to add to the website or can be used for the emails and reports. I think I’d be very helpful with website design and maintenance and helping with the various projects FOL supports.
I would be interested in joining the committee and supporting the website building and storytelling of project success with Friends of Lesotho. I would also be open to talking more about how my skills may be able to support FOL.
Skills, strengths, or experiences the nominee has that would help the Board carry out its work :
I would be interested in joining the committee and supporting the website building and storytelling of project success with Friends of Lesotho. I would also be open to talking more about how my skills may be able to support FOL.
I’m definitely willing to help out with committee work and open to run for a board member position. Really I’m just looking forward to helping out FOL.
